It’s a shame that many of us today have fallen for the belief that we have no Creator despite the overwhelming evidence that is around us. I mean no one looks at a building and asks if there was an architect and a builder behind its creation nor will one believe that a phone they hold in their hands made itself. Yet some of us seem to think that complex beings like us and all of life around us just happened to pop out from nowhere, pretty strange way of thinking but everyone is entitled to their belief, but on today’s advice I’m generally talking to the believer.
As human beings, we suffer from forgetfulness. I mean chances of you remembering what you had for lunch just 2 weeks ago on Monday are pretty slim. This weakness seems to work against us when it comes to our Creator (Allah, God, Modimo, Yahweh, uNkulunkulu, Zimu etc). When times are good, we don’t even know what colour the walls of the church or masjid are, but when difficulty hits us, we are back in that building or kneeling with our hands up high like we have never raised them before screaming for relief. As much as our Creator inflicts us with difficulty now and again so that we remember and come back to Him, no one likes to be in that situation.
So in order for you to be in His good books and have some of your life tests made a bit easier when things get hectic, remember Him when He makes life easy for you. You wouldn’t like to have a friend who calls you only when they are in need and vanish after you help them. That is the highest form of ingratitude. Our Creator commands all of us believers to treat others the same way we would like to be treated, so next time you wanna call your hommies to celebrate that new job you got after months of begging and praying, say thanks to the Almighty first, He appreciates our gratitude even though He doesn’t need it. He will open more blessings for you in all you do.
